“Always Looking through Glass” is a solo exhibition by artist and photographer Jörgen Axelvall at 0fr. Tokyo.
Most photographers look through a small piece of glass when they frame a picture and in “Always Looking through Glass” you can see Jörgen Axelvall’s personal framing of the world. It’s a compact selection, 30 images from 15 different countries. The images are mounted between glass, seemingly floating in the frame. The small sized glass frames are a reflection of the way a photographer looks through a tiny viewfinder and the size also makes the images resemble “postcards” from around the world. The photographs are printed on a very thin paper, slightly translucent, they way Jörgen Axelvall tends to see the world.”
