fashion designer living and working in KIEV, UKRAINE.
“I like to think that I am an experimenter, before calling myself a designer or an artist.
Mixing and searching through different combinations of art and media is an interesting way to communicate.
Creating is like a fight, with only one rule – you have to be honest and sincere with yourself.
I work mostly alone for the brand, I do the design myself, but I do produce the collections in a small atelier.
Working with a real team would be rather difficult, as I am still planning to study and I have to be flexible with my timetables.
Luckily I have amazing friends around me and they are always helping me with my projects!
I always mix everything and that’s where I find my inspiration from. For example I adore vintage illustrations of plants and nature, cool tramps in the Ukrainian bazaars and old un-fashionable people who are looking amazing without even realizing it! I try to tell stories through my design.
I want to catch a certain mood or a moment and translate it into a visual message.
Textile prints are helping me to hide stories into my pieces.I think the work and idea behind the design always makes the piece more interesting and deeper.
The reason why I do this is the energy I get from it. It must be the best reward.”
