Prada is having special exhibitions of their spring/summer 2015 collection curated by various creative talents around the world. This is the third year Prada invites visual talent outside the house to put their twist on their current collections in their in-store exhibition entitled ”Iconoclasts” The previous years creative talent include among other Carine Roitfeld from French Vogue at the time and Love magazine’s Katie Grand.
These short exhibitions follow the global fashion weeks and the current exhibition was opened in Prada’s New York Flagship store on Broadway in SoHo last Friday the 13th of February. This particular display runs through 22nd of February and is curated by Michael Wilkinson the costume designer behind the film ”American hustle” together with he’s creative partner Tim Martin. The Disco 70’s sexy vibe from the movie that is not necessarily core Prada can definitely be seen in the mannequins with big frizzy hairdo’s and jewelled eyes in the main exhibition space overseen by a gigantic disco-ball chandelier. It looks like an upscale 70’s party frozen in mid-beat before the the mirrored queen of the ball starts the sexy tunes again.
This New York fashion must see is followed by Arianne Phillips at the Prada Old Bond Street in London on February 21 through February 24 and Milena Canonera transform Prada in Rue St. Honoré in Paris on March 6 until March 11.
All these exhibitions can be followed on Instagram with #pradaiconoclasts
